Artful Relating invites you into an emergent space space where relationship becomes a living art form—a creative act where love is not performed, but discovered. Rooted in somatic wisdom and artistic expression, this work centers on co-creating connection that is alive, authentic, and healing—a shared becoming shaped not by fear, but by curiosity, compassion, and courageous presence.
Most of us did not learn love in its purest form—free from conditions, expectations, or wounding. Instead, we inherited models that limit and distort love, often suppressing the parts of us that long for deeper intimacy, freedom, and truth. We yearn to meet ourselves and others without the armour of fear and protection—to be seen, known, and genuinely encountered.
To live and love artfully, we may need to unravel the old story—the one shaped by survival, protection, or silence—to find a new, truer narrative aligned with your heart’s desires and soul’s longings. Step into the unscripted space of love—where love is co-created, not performed—never rehearsed, always real. A space where love follows truth, not a script.

Relating is an art. Love is a shared becoming. In artful relating, something arises that is not controlled or planned: a shared creation, a deeper knowing.
The relationship itself becomes a an emergent space of possibility that reveals what love can become.

Cloe Joelle (she/her) is the founder of Artful Relating—a Somatic Psychotherapist, Educator, Artist, and Researcher with over eight years in private practice.
Her journey into this work began in childhood. As a natural caretaker, she learned early adaptive strategies in prioritizing others' needs over her own—a pattern that eventually led to burnout and disconnections in her career and relationships. That turning point sparked the questions that now anchor her life’s work: Why does caring sometimes cost us ourselves? What does it mean to love without abandoning our core 'Self'?
Through her personal healing, professional training and research—including seven years in Integrative Body Psychotherapy and a study focused on the ‘Self in exile’ or ‘loss of Self’—her exploration uncovered a subtle yet profound pattern: how acts of protection can masquerade as love—especially in early development, where the difference between love and survival is often blurred. This early confusion between protection and genuine connection can lead to deep patterns of self-abandonment.
Cloe’s studies and research have led her to specialize in these most subtle, nuanced, confusing, normalized, under-researched—and most difficult to recover from—forms of trauma, such as: existential, developmental, attachment, intergenerational traumas, and complex PTSD. Her interests include chronic pain, shame, neglect and ambiguous loss.
In early development, many factors can interrupt a child's natural psychosocial maturation. In these cases, she supports clients in unwinding inherited patterns and reprogramming belief systems that once served as survival but now hinder connection. Her approach blends somatic therapy, parts work, the developmental sciences, expressive arts therapy and attachment fundamentals.
Artful Relating is the living embodiment of this philosophy—a space where love is a creative act, where true connection and love emerges unscripted and healing is collaborative.

Cloe trusts the intelligence of the body. Her somatic approach invites mindful witnessing of the body to access deeper truths. Trauma often shows up as holding patterns, blocking natural flow and expression. Releasing these blocks restores empowerment, joy, and ease.
Cloe helps clients identify strengths, shift limiting beliefs, and develop practical tools for transformation. Sessions last 1–2 hours and are offered online via Zoom.
